Dear Expecting Parent (s): Congratulations on your pregnancy! Thank you for visiting my website. "The Birth of Love" started with my own pregnancy and birth as I was so inspired and empowered by bringing my son into this world that I knew I must use my passion to serve others. During my personal journey, I learned that women have choices when it comes to the birth experience. Some choose to have their babies in a hospital and some in a birth center. Some in the comfort of their own home. Some choose to birth in water or even in the ocean! Some choose pain medication and some choose a drug-free birth. Some might even choose a cesarean section. There are many options for birthing in the modern world. You have the right to bring your child into the world in whatever way you choose--in comfort, peace and in love. You have the right to a birth without fear. You have the right to a birth of your own creation. You have the right to ENJOY your child's birth, to be EMPOWERED by your experience and to take ownership of your body and revel in your own strength. You have the right to a birth that is as unique as the child that that will be born of it. It is my sincerest hope and desire that you will take the time to discover all of your options in regards to childbirth. There is no greater responsibility than that of bringing your child into the world. Your birth experience DOES matter! It matters to the mother, it matters to the baby and it matters to those who witness her experience. In my role as a DONA trained birth doula, it is my duty to provide you and your family with the loving support that is so necessary during pregnancy, labor and the immediate postpartum period.
